I bought both of these pieces last week never thinking that A-I would wear them together and B-that they would make good transition pieces from workday to happy hour but was presently surprised when my clothes up and showed me who was boss!

For work I added a cardigan, some lower heeled pumps and wore the skirt knee length and the overall look turned out well if I don't say so myself. When the clock hits five and like Todd Rundgren, "I don't wanna work, I want to bang on the drum all day" or ya know...just hit up a normal happy hour minus the drums I ditched the cardigan, tossed on some higher heels (cause super high heels and alcohol go GREAT together) and hiked that skirt up!!

So whether you are a workaholic or a party animal...similiar pieces like these would be great in your own closet.

Dirty South!!

Well, butter my biscuit I just found a online boutique located right here in the South!! Fab'rik is located in Atlanta, GA and since that is still 3 hours away from yours truly...I am VERY glad I can shop from the comfort of my own couch.

They stock brands such as Free People, Hanky Panky and Rock and Republic and also carry Hollywood Fashion tape. (LOVE that stuff) Unlike most other online stores Fab'rik also sells various pieces of art and also wonderful smelling Votivo candles. I have a feeling that this boutique and I are gonna be like white on rice and for all the Southern illiterate people out there...this means that we are gonna be best buddies forever and ever and ever!

It must have been one of the yard men that dropped it...that sounds so lifestyles of the rich and famous BUT really I live in a condo and the homeowner fees cover it, ha! When I walked outside to take today's pics there it was in all it's shiny glory. Maybe I will win the lottery (if I remember to play) OR maybe I dropped ten pounds without diet and exercise. (I checked...I didn't) Whatever good things are coming my way today bring it on!

Today's feature shop is Nest Pretty Things by Tamar and it is the sweetest little shop you have ever laid eyes on!! All of the creations are very whimsical and dainty so it makes sense that her house reflects that same character, check it out here.

Expect to find many pastel colors in her jewelry, lots of charms and floral designs, and many other items that make you feel overwhelmingly girly. When I look through her jewelry and accessories it makes me want to dress up in my frilliest dress and have a party with tons of balloons and flowers and serve cotton candy to my guests. I love the enchanting feel of her shop...and I love the way it lets me dream about owning a piece of her collection and all the make believe places I can wear them to.

Rainy Date Night

My apologies for the ugly inside pictures in advance... the weather was just not cooperating on Saturday and decided to rain all day. Hubs and I had a date night and went to dinner and to see Hot Tub Time Machine! You can laugh all you want but that movie was freakin hilarious! I am a child of the 80's so the movie pick was my idea AND right up my acid-washed jeans alley.

I went with all black due to my depressed mood because of the thunderstorms but after the movie lifted my spirits I wish I would have rocked a miniskirt and legwarmers and of course a top with shoulderpads. Maybe next time...

I have spent the last hour and a half of my time trying to buy you but fate seems to be intervening. After seeing you in countless magazines and on feet of various bloggers I tried to make both pairs of you mine but Target is either sold out of you or they didn't have my size.

Whenever Kasmira from What I Wore Today posted her Jungle Fever outfit I vowed then and there that I was going to incorporate more animal prints into my wardrobe!! I love the idea of pairing two completely different animal prints together and somehow, someway the look worked for her. (If only I could go so bold with my clothing choices)

I CANNOT believe that I bought a romper!! I always see people rocking the romper look but they have always been petite, or model tall and skinny, or under the age of 2 years old. I got mine from The Limited and when I saw it on the hanger I thought to myself, "What the hell." After trying it on I obviously liked it somewhat because I ended up buying the comfortable one piece.

Hotdogs and Hamburgers and Beer, Oh My!!!!

Yesterday I went to a baseball game for a friends birthday. The place we sat was amazing, I was in great company...all in all a wonderful day!!

This is what I was gonna wear if the temp had not dropped over the weekend, don't you just hate that! It's beautiful the entire week when I am at work staring longingly outside the window but as soon as I escape work and get to take advantage of the weather it dropped to the upper 60's!! I should NOT be complaining at all but I got kindda spoiled over the last couple of weeks.

My first try with leggings...I think the overall look turned out well....
