So I went outside to take pictures as usual when I discovered that I looked very similar to the trees in the front yard. Apparently I am now getting my fashion inspiration from my lawn, who knew!

I try not to talk a lot about the weather but it is driving me crazy. I have packed up my winter shoes not once but twice now only to have to go upstairs to the extra bedroom to pull my boots out again. I keep doing the same things with my tights...the weather needs to pick a season and stick with it.

The pieces of clothing I wore during my 30x30 are slowly making a comeback into my wardrobe. After I finished the challenge I banished all clothes to the back of my closet and so far this shirt is the first article to make it's reappearance.

I decided to be daring and layer my stripes with more stripes...I am such a rebel! I scooped up these olive slacks last week on a innocent trip to Target, but of course if you are like me, you go into Target to buy toilet paper and come out with toilet paper, a shirt and two new pairs of pants. (happens more than I would like to admit)

When It Rains it Pours....

Soooo, these pictures are what happens when it is pouring rain outside and I go to my front door and try to crouch and take pictures in the teeny tiny entryway so I don't get wet.

I either A-cut off my head or B-cut off my feet in every.single.picture.

Muted Colors...

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Friday night the hubs and I went out to eat at my favorite restaurant and rented a movie and Saturday we attended an engagement party of some good friends. I wanted to be comfortable yet still look nice so I opted for my cargo jeggings and wedge heels and something flowy on top. My jacket was a birthday gift from my mom and I absolutely love it.

Slow and Steady

I have not been extremely creative in the getting dressed department this week and I don't know why. Oh yeah, I do...it's called being lazy! I am one of those people that has to plan my outfit every night in advance or else I am running around the next morning just grabbing the first thing my hand touches to put on. I don't make much time for accessories in the morning, heck- I barely make time for coffee before I head out the door to work.

This dress saves my butt every.single.time because it doesn't require ironing and it has black and brown in it so you cannot get your shoe choice wrong even if you tried. I promise I will be more imaginative next week. (It is just soooo hard not hitting snooze)

Rainy Day...

Yesterday afternoon it not only rained but we also had hail and tornado warnings.

I saw this as a glass half full situation because I could finally show off my new rain boots! I ran inside after work, changed into my boots, took these pictures and made it back inside the house before the rain started pouring down.

Things That Make Ya Go Hmmm??

1. Having lipstick on your teeth and noone ever letting you know so you walk around looking like an idiot!

2. Trying on your shorts from last summer and finding out they are fitting a little snug. (BOO)

3. Why is it beautiful outside when I am working but on the weekends it rains??

4. Ripping a huge hole in a brand new shirt you never even got the chance to wear... happened yesterday and I am so sad about it.

5. Getting a pedicure only to have it chip 2 days later.

Paper Doll Project.

Today my entire outfit was picked out by Vanessa of Snappy and Savvy thanks to Suze and the Paper Doll Project. Basically it was a chance for someone else to "style" me for the day and I couldn't have asked for a more stylish partner than Vanessa. Check out her blog if you don't follow her already!

She wanted to make my work outfit fun and colorful so she chose my blue and white full striped skirt and added my bright pinkish red heels for a pop of color. My navy cardigan was next and my turquoise necklace was the finishing touch. I felt comfortable yet chic all day long and will definitely participate again in a heartbeat!
